چکیده
The constitutive model is the crucial part for finite element analyses. To study elasto-plastic properties of unbound granular materials (UGMs) under repeated vehicular loads, an called revised spatially mobilized plane (SMP) was proposed and validated. In this study, SMP used plastic strain analyses a typical three-layer pavement structure. make comparisons, Mohr-Coulomb Druck-Prager models were employed numerical computation. results show that tensile compressive strains in horizontal vertical directions appear on top surface UGM using model, but no are produced by models. distribution had good relationship with actual loading areas loading, which related to rutting. With Druck-Prage models, great during first several cycles hardly increased following cycles, while presented obvious increasing tendency cycles. predicted permanent deformations SMP, 0.557 mm, 0.78 mm 0.155 respectively. Our work reveals may over-predict under-predict rutting early stage proved advantages description UMG loads.

elasto-plastic analysis of trusses by virtual loads
in this research a new approach is proposed for elasto-plastic analysis of structures with truss elements. this method covers both perfectly plastic and hardening properties. the proposed technique uses substituting virtual loads instead of modifying the stiffness matrix. to solve this kind of problems, complementary programming is utilized. numerical examples demonstrate that elastoplastic ana...
متن کاملAn analysis of three-dimensional elasto-plastic sinusoidal contact
Researchers have developedmanymodels to simulate the elasto-plastic contact of spheres. However, there does not appear to exist a closed-form analytical model for elasto-plastic three-dimensional sinusoidal contact. This work uses a finite element model (FEM) to characterize elasto-plastic sinusoidal contact. Although at initial contact the sphere and sinusoidal case are very similar and can bo...
متن کاملSingle State Elasto-Plastic Models for Friction Compensation
For control applications involving small displacements and velocities, friction modeling and compensation can be very important. In particular, the phenomena of stiction and presliding displacement (motion during sticking) can play pivotal roles. In this paper, it is shown that existing single-state-variable friction models possess either stiction or presliding displacement. Next, those models ...
متن کاملElasto-plastic solution for thick-walled spherical vessels with an inner FGM layer
Purely elastic, partially and fully plastic stress states in a thick-walled spherical pressure vessel with an inner functionally graded material (FG) coating subjected to internal and external pressures are developed analytically in this paper. The modulus of elasticity and the uniaxial yield limit of the FG coating layer are considered to vary nonlinearly through the thickness. Using Tresca’s ...
متن کاملElasto-plastic analysis of reinforced soils using mesh-free method
In this paper the application of the mesh-free method (MFM) for the elasto-plastic analysis of reinforced soils is studied for the first time. The applied mesh-free method is called the radial point interpolation method (RPIM). In MFM, unlike the finite element method (FEM), there is no need of mesh in the traditional sense, and the shape functions are based on nodes. In the present study the r...
